An Adventure of a Lifetime!

  Air Apparent is owned and operated by husband and wife team Randy Kirgiss and Colleen Quinlan.  Randy  has been flying for over 40 years, with his first flight as a pilot in  1986.  He spent 24 years Active Duty and another 10 years as a civilian  flying helicopters for the U.S. Army.  Since then he has been flying EMS  helicopters.  Randy and Colleen call Gray, TN home, where they enjoy flying and living in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

Our  hot air ballooning team is professional and courteous.  We strive to  make your flight as safe and enjoyable as possible.  Depending on your  desired level of involvement, we will integrate you as part of our  flight team, helping us set up, chase (if you are not taking part in the  flight), and recover.  At the completion of the flight we will partake  in a traditional post-flight ceremony commemorating your flight,  including a champagne / sparkling cider toast.
